The Check Strip provided is used to check if the meter is functioning properly with the Test Strip. A "V" symbol will appear on the LCD screen, indicating that the check has been made.

Insert the Check Strip with "<<<" facing up into the test port of the Meter (toward you). If the value displayed ranges between 107 - 127 mg/dL (5.8 ~ 6.9 mmol/L), the Meter is ready to use.

Insert the Check Strip with the "<<<" facing down into the test port of the Meter (away from you). This position allows you to change the code in the meter without having to use a test strip.

If the value displayed does not meet the proper range, reinsert the Check Strip two or three more times. If it still does not meet the proper range, contact ADM.

Please note: The Check Strip does NOT check the POWER-ON status of the meter.
